【Complete Corpus of the Buddhist Scriptures brought to Japan from China】
The Complete Corpus of the Buddhist Scriptures consists of over 5000 volumes wood-block printed during the Sung Dynasty period of China in 1132. In 1255, four volumes of the Complete Corpus of the Buddhist Scriptures were dedicated to the Kashima Shrine by Kasama Tokitomo. They are still extant in Kasama City; three are possessed by the Kasama Inari Shrine and one is held by the Sainen-ji Temple. These volumes have been designated tangible cultural properties by Ibaraki Prefecture.
